Paris, je t’aime

We’ve known Jenny since elementary school when we were “yay” high… well maybe not Christine, she’s always been the tall one… but that’s besides the point.  She’s always had a quiet and calm demeanor, so who knew that once we all went off to college, Jenny would be immersed into the crazy world of fashion design!  (You’ll get a chance to see her talent showcased on her wedding day!)  And what better place for a chic, fashionable couple to take their engagement photos than in the beautiful city of Paris, France.  Jenny & Mike were planning the trip for a friend’s wedding, found a Parisian photographer (on Craigslist!! ~ oh the world wide web), and the result… awesome photos in one of the most romantic cities in the world!  If only we could have found a way to fit ourselves in their luggage…

Christine & Dean

As we spent time with Christine planning her wedding, it became more and more obvious to us that it was as if we were planning our own!  Christine was so easy-going and trusted us completely, even asking us to design her bridal party florals.  And of course, it was an added benefit that we shared similar styles and a love for all things vintage.  From the Carondelet House, to her wedding dress and the bridesmaids’ gowns, we were in LOVE with every aspect of Christine & Dean’s wedding.

Erica & Elliot

We’ve always been connected in some way to our couples through mutual friends and varying degrees of separation, and our story with Erica & Elliot is no different.  A friend, who also happens to be another one of our brides, introduced us to Erica who was a fellow Bruin.  After we met Erica and her twin sister(!), we found out that another good friend of ours was her roommate at Loma Linda where she had gone to Pharmacy School, and would also be a bridesmaid.  But the best part of getting to know her was when I found out we had the same first and last names.  It’s not too often you get to meet a person who shares your exact namesake!

The tricky part about that was trying not to make things confusing when any of us referred to each other.  Plus Erica asked us to help with her wedding paperie, and to be honest, it was a bit strange to see my name written hundreds of times as getting married to Elliot.  While we were assembling all the paperie, my sister happened to be visiting from DC, saw the work we were doing, and asked me in an oddly serious tone if there was something I wasn’t telling her!

UCLA Engagement Session

Erica & Elliot met while attending UCLA during their undergrad years, so of course they chose to have their e-session photos taken on campus!  The two of them have been apart while Erica’s been in Med School and Elliot’s been in Law School, so it was great to see that they could come back to the place where it all started.  Such a good-looking and smart couple!

Priscila & Sam

Happy New Year!!  Hope your 2013 is off to an amazing start, and we look forward to sharing many memories with you this year!

To start us off this year, here’s a look at one of our beautiful couples from 2012 and their sweet and simple wedding.  Everything about Priscila & Sam’s wedding perfectly epitomized Priscila’s sweet nature, and Sam’s protective care for his bride could not have been more evident as he affectionately held her hand through all the nervous moments.  We hope that God continues to protect and bless you as you continue to grow together as husband and wife this new year, and for many more years to come!  love, erica  🙂
